Center of Excellence Designation Renewed
During the month of Februaury 2014, Castle Medical Center and Dr. Steven Fowler received renewal for the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence (BSCOE) center.
Dr. Fowler’s practice was proud to be the first practice to be award the BSCOE designation. To earn a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence designation, Castle Medical Center’s Surgical Weight Loss Institute underwent a series of site inspections during which all aspects of the program’s surgical processes were closely examined and data on health outcomes were collected.
To receive renewal the society formally acknowledges our commitment to providing quality improvement and patient safety for bariatric surgery patients. As an accredited program we have demonstrated that our center meets the needs of bariatric surgery patients by providing them with multidisciplinary, high quality, patient-centered care. We are excited to receive our renewal for another three years!
