Dr. Fowler Performs the 1st Duodenal Switch in Hawaii
On October 19, 2016 Dr. Steven Fowler performed the first two Laparoscopic Duodenal Switch surgeries in the State of Hawaii. Both patients are now doing great.
This operation is the most effective procedure in terms of maximum weight loss and diabetes remission. However, it does carry the risk of nutritional complications, so patients must be selected and followed carefully.
